Marathon Training Week 9

I have officially surpassed the halfway point in training for the marathon, and the overwhelming sensation is... fatigue.


Starting around Wednesday or Thursday, I have felt just tired. I took a nap at lunch on Friday! I slept until almost 10:00 on Sunday morning.


My Fitbit confirms that I slept poorly Wednesday through Saturday. I don't recall having difficulty falling asleep or waking up a lot, but when it was time to get up I was more tired than usual.


If the fatigue continues next week, I'll be easing up on the training for a bit.


Exciting Development

On a positive note, I've had a partner on my shorter runs the last two weeks! Gary has been coming with me on my three and four mile runs on the treadmill. It's great because we can run at our own pace and cover whatever distance we want to.
